What is an Edmund Davidson Knife?
Edmund Davidson is a full time custom knife maker whose love for knives dates back to his youth. He started in 1986 and has developed over 100 unique integral patterns which run the gamut of design and intended usage. Edmund produces virtually indestructible camp/combat knives to investment-quality knives embellished with fine engraving and scrimshaw, gold and jewels. Edmund aims to continue pushing the integral envelope and develop new custom knife patterns for as long as he is able to do so.
All Edmund Davidson knives are made in his shop in Virginia with his equipment. He uses the highest grades of materials available. He does not outsource labour, nor use of CNC machinery on knives that are represented to the public as being handmade. He buys blade steel in the form of bar stock, and purchase the mechanical fasteners that he uses to attach knife handle materials. Edmund Davidson knives are truly collectible and rare.
