The RMJ Unmei is made of .130” thick Magnacut stainless steel, despite being surprisingly light at 3.5 ounces. Its lightness and thinness make it suitable for all types of slicing. The Unmei blade has a Tungsten Cerakote finish that is corrosion- and glare-resistant, and provides extra durability. The G10 handle is bevelled and contoured and has slanted texturing for a strong but comfortable grip.

The RMJ Unmei includes a molded kydex sheath that includes two MAD straps to allow for scout carry (horizontal) and inside the waistband (IWB) vertical carry. It is MOLLE compatible and can be attached to any pack, plate carrier, or similar gear with PALS webbing, and it is compatible with most of the popular clips and mounts, such as the Discreet Carry.

Measuring 8″ in length, the RMJ Unmei Nitro-V blade is exceptionally tough with an HRC of 59-60, which allows it to maintain a sharp cutting edge and avoid dulling after each use. Nitro-V steel was formulated as a cutlery grade steel by incorporating nitrogen and vanadium into the forging process to upgrade hardness and corrosion resistance. Nitro-V has a finer grain than many other steels, rendering it ideal for preserving a sharp edge, and ample chromium to make it rustproof. With this type of knife, Nitro-V is expected to be able to withstand a variety of hard usages and retain its edge.
